PANews October 19 news, according to Bloomberg, Meta said that tools used by Anthropic's Claude intensively accessed Instagram profiles, posts, and hashtags at about four times the normal rate, triggering automated security systems and causing the account of the U.S. "No Kings" organization to be mistakenly disabled.
Meta said automated review restored the account after about one hour, but restoring administrative permissions took longer, and it apologized for the error. Meta did not specify which Claude tool was involved, who operated it, or its relationship to the account.
