The account profile shows that the account is jointly managed by Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation, and XRP is the native token of the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The XRP Ledger was launched in 2012, and this marks the first time the token has opened a dedicated official X account more than a decade after its launch.
