PANews October 16 news, according to The Block, MSCI will adopt a new set of rules that may lead to Strategy and Metaplanet being removed from its indexes. Previously, MSCI had consulted on the eligibility issue of "non-operating companies." The methodology will be implemented in the November 2026 index review and will take effect after the close on November 30. It will screen companies by evaluating their operating assets and five financial ratios, thereby replacing the previous temporary restrictive measure targeting companies whose "digital asset holdings account for more than 50% of total assets." MSCI will announce the final list of affected companies on November 11.
