The activation date for Hoodi and mainnet has not yet been determined. Glamsterdam combines the execution layer Amsterdam upgrade and the consensus layer Gloas upgrade. The core changes include embedded proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists to improve L1 throughput, and adjust gas billing to better reflect execution and state growth costs. Node operators must update the execution layer and consensus layer clients before activation. Contracts that rely on fixed gas assumptions may need to be modified.
